Stay in a Wilderness Log Cabin in Lapland

If you yearn for a holiday that will let you escape from your everyday life what about log cabin holidays in Lapland?

In winter, the experience is heightened by the snowy conditions and short days. What could be more romantic than returning after a day’s skiing or dog-sledding to a cosy log cabin complete with wood burning stove and your very own sauna and experiencing the peace of an Arctic twilight viewed from your cabin window?

The winter gives travellers a great opportunity to see the Northern Lights. The unpolluted night sky allows travellers to see this amazing phenomenon as clearly as anywhere on Earth.

There are several holiday companies offering tailor-made or pre-organised holidays. Sometimes there is a dual location holiday available, such as a Lapland tour with a two day wilderness experience. If you are not sure you could cope with a week’s stay so close to nature, this could be a possible answer.

For independent travellers there are regular UK flights to six Lapland airports and several companies offering just the cabin accommodation.

Summer in Lapland is entirely different. The sun is up for 100 days and nothing could be more tranquil that watching a midnight sun from the porch of your cabin. It is a great place for hiking, fishing, canoeing, pony trekking – there is a huge variety of activities available in the summer.

Staying in a wilderness log cabin is a great way to totally relax if you want to head off for a great Lapland adventure.
